   Los Bexarenos Meeting Speaker: Fred Martinez Topic: Fred will be talking about his newly published book, Early Families of Villa Del Carmen en MedinaFred has been a member of Los Bexarenos since 1985, and is a current member of the Bexar County Historical Commission, and many other historical and genealogical organizations. Meetings are normally held at 9:30 a.m. every first Saturday of the month on the first floor, Main Auditorium, of the San Antonio Public Library, 600 Soledad Street, San Antonio, Texas. Visitors are always welcome to attend. Membership is not required. Speakers at the meetings are people with a passion for history, professional historians, genealogists, archaeologists and researchers.

Hilton Hotel and Conference Center - University of Houston - The Seventh San Jacinto Symposium promises to be a contentious affair with speakers facing off on various factions inside the Texas Revolution - Indiana, land speculation and slavery, the Texas Rangers, and women.    The 2007 National Genealogical Society Conference in the States and Family History Fair scheduled for 16-19 May 2007. The National Genealogical Society together with the Virginia Genealogical Society, the Fairfax Genealogical Society, and the Genealogical Research Institute of Virginia (GRIVA) will be hosting this year's conference which will bring together genealogists and family historians from around the country and beyond.
